How to Design a Disney Themed Room for Your Kids

If there’s one thing that comes to mind regarding Disney, it’s magic! From Disney princesses like Aurora and Jasmine to Mickey and his gang, Disneyland is a place for never-ending adventure for old and young alike.

If your little one is a Disney fan, you don’t have to go all the way to Orlando to make her dream come true. Just create a Disney-themed room for her!

1. Color Scheme

First things first, you need to choose an appropriate color scheme for the room. Pink and purple is a popular combination for princess-themed rooms, but if your little girl wants to add a touch of Beauty and the Beast, then a yellow and blue combination will be ideal.

You can choose a central wall in the room and paint it one color and the other three walls the second color. This will add more definition and style to the room.

2. Fairy Lights

Taking inspiration from Disneyland itself, the one thing that should be included is lights—and not just any lights, fairy lights!

The best place to add these fairy lights is on the curtain covering the window. You’ll find tons of fairy lights online or in-home-décor stores nearby. Simply hang each star vertically from the curtain rod and let it flow with the curtain folds. When you light it up, it’ll look like a little magical window just like the one Rapunzel’s tower had.

 3. Themed Furniture

A simple square bed won’t feel magical for sure. You can do some DIY décor to bring it more into the theme.

Painting it gold to give it royal vibes; you can even add a pink-netted canopy for added effects. A silky pastel pink bed cover and pillow covers will be excellent additions. You can even add a small coffee table with some talking cutlery (Beauty and the Beast), Aladdin’s magic lamp, or even a small Cinderella carriage.

4. Magic Kingdom

Your princess’s Disneyland will be incomplete with the Magical kingdom.

You might not be able to remake the entire palace, but a stunning picture will do the trick! Priced at a reasonable rate of $35, this picture will complete the room. If you want to add more to the room, you can get cushions, a fleece blanket, or a duvet cover with the same print. Sounds magical, doesn’t it?
