Your Guide to Valentine’s Day Shoot

On the 14th of February, more than half the Americans celebrate love and friendship by exchanging gifts and sharing pleasant memories. This is the perfect time for a romantic photoshoot.

Here are 4 Valentine’s day photoshoot ideas that you can gain inspiration from to create your subject’s picture-perfect moment:

1. Recreate their fondest memory

The first meetings tend to be the most memorable ones, especially when it sparks a love interest. You can make the couple wear the same outfits, visit the same location or recreate the picture exactly how they may have taken it initially.

This will allow them to relive their best moment once again.  If not the first, you can recreate any memory the couple relates to the most.

2. Outdoor shoot

You can follow either of the two models to film how they go about their day before, during, and after meeting their soulmate. You’ll be able to capture some authentic portraits and will also significantly improve your candid photography skills.

Nothing says romance and warmth like the golden hour. Urge your models to opt for an outdoor shoot, possibly by the beach right before the sunsets.  Sunrays automatically highlight the positive emotions, and you’ll be able to capture stunning silhouettes, backlight, and tones.

Alternatively, you can allow the models to choose a shoot location themselves. Challenge yourself to find something romantic in each photo.

3. Take candid pictures indoors

Alternatively, you can take exciting photographs in indoor spaces as well. Many a time, models can express themselves better in the comfort of their homes. Candid pictures make for a great memory. You can even urge your models to renovate their interiors’ outlook with exciting artwork and beautiful images to create more depth.

Ryan Crane’s ‘Dance With Nature’ is the perfect collection to choose from for your lady love while ‘Cars’ is a personal favorite for the boys. The ‘Art is A Poem’ category is also great for anyone you think needs extra motivation in these challenging times.

4. Valentine’s day props

Customized props or signs are a great way to add more depth to the photoshoot by throwing in humor or romance. Ensure your captures are diverse; every now and then, you can shift your focus from the models to objects, landscapes, or even animals. This will surely make the experience a whole lot memorable.

Lastly, the most critical aspect is to edit the photos you’ve captured. For tips on editing images, head to Photo Professors, where Ryan Crane teaches beginners how to use photoshop.
